Shoulder Pain: What’s New? A Lot! -Bahram Jam, PT

This 1-day course will increase your confidence in diagnosing and managing various causes of shoulder pain including: subacromial sensitivity, instabilities and contracture capsulitis (formally known as adhesive capsulitis or frozen shoulder).

Based on current studies and latest systematic reviews, the management options reviewed will include

i) Ideal functional movements to minimize fear and maximize compliance

ii) Effective and muscular and proprioceptive retraining exercises

iii) Daily life modifications

iv) Knowing when there may be a central sensitization component

Bahram Jam

Bahram Jam graduated from the University of Toronto then he completed a Clinical Masters and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Queensland, Australia and at Andrews University, USA respectively.

He is the founder and director of Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute (APTEI) and has been a chief instructor for over one-thousand post-graduate Orthopaedic courses across Canada and internationally. He has presented at several national and international conferences. He currently practices at Athletes Care in Toronto.
